THE say love concurs all. They also say love has the ability to change day into night. These people are right.
These day-into-night people are right. Because as you sit there thinking of the person you love, the hours are ticking by second by second, minute by minute and before you know it – dawn breaks.
They say the person you love is like an angel sent from above. Now these people are wrong. What happens if the person you love isn’t right there with you?
Sitting with you and looking into your eyes and saying a million things all at one and yet not saying anything? What happens if the one you love is out there loving someone else?
These people need to get their facts right! They say that love only happens to a selected few. That you are privileged to actually feel love. These people are correct. We enter and exit relationships often and I believe some do it every week. These people who say these things are right. Love is like a really strange thing.
I say this because we really don’t know what it is. It is an emotion, yes, that we all know but after that? That’s when it gets serious. What exactly is it? Love is a really bad thing that makes you think about a person all the minutes you are awake and even when you are asleep.
Because trust me when you are in love, you will dream about the person. That person will embody and occupy your mind to the point nothing else matters. Love will make you build a future with someone – albeit in your head – picture them with you forever, starting a family with them and watching it grow. Love will make you imagine things to be perfect. 100 per cent perfect. And should they not be perfect, then it won’t matter as long as you have each other.
Love will make you smile every time you picture this beautiful future. Because as I said, it doesn’t matter so long as you have each other. They say love has the ability to wake the living dead. These people are also correct because until you truly love, you are dead!
To be truly in love, is to be at the height of happiness and ecstasy! Love makes you feel absolutely invincible. The world seems brighter and everyone is just amazing! Your perception of everything goes into optimism overdrive and everything seems like it can be cracked with the sheer strength of your smile! Things are right! Things are great! Everything is fantastic- such a euphoria!
And then there are those who say there is a thin line between love and hate. Now these people hit the nail on the spot! Love can quickly turn into hate when the person you love doesn’t return the love. Yet, we love. There you are, sitting there, all by your lonesome self, thinking about this person and they are not thinking about you.
Yet, we love. There you are, sending this person all your attention, your strength, support and of course, your vital brain thinking time and they are not doing the same. Yet, we love. There you are, wanting to take over the world with this person, starting a cute little family and settling into the great success that your life would be. They say people say a lot of things about love.
They say people should focus on feeling it and not so much on trying to understand its complex dynamics or the mysterious ways that it creeps up on you and takes over your entire existence. These same people also say, be grateful of the opportunity to meet someone to bring you to life as you fall in love with them.
They say that when you love someone, you should show them you love them every single day you are privileged to be with them. Doesn’t matter if its family, friends or that special someone who has crept into your mind a few times as you read this. I completely agree with these people.
Why then would we show those we love that we love them on only one day of the year? That we are somehow commanded to switch on the romance on February 14? Love is an endless sea of emotion that just keeps flowing. Happy Valentine’s Day today, tomorrow and forever.
